This was from my 4x4min. level 4 skate workout about a week ago. I couldn’t believe how slow I looked on video, geez. It is a lot bigger, longer, steeper hill than it looks like on the video (I’d say 2 to 3 times as long as Rough Rider @ TD and definitely quite a bit steeper…) but still…always good to see yourself on video for technique AND realizing you need to stop slugging around like an old grandmother on sleeping pills!!!!
Since seeing the video I’ve been working on reaching farther forward, more naturally, with both arms, and just trying to quicken the tempo a bit with the legs. Also thinking about more of a smooth, constant forward “push” with your whole body lean, and trying to minimize twisting or jerky side to side movements.
